Hey! Is anyone home up there? Pennygirl, Edog, GAM, VB, GI, who else?
Am doing OK down here in the valley of the silly- cone, miss the old forum, is it back or has it been replaced? Are the Swedes still running it?

We have this problem down here too, as well as in every metro area in the country. We had a huge contingency of tents and makeshift domicile areas in an area earmarked as a county park along the Guadeloupe River running through downtown San Jose. One day the powers- that- be went on in & took down (destroyed?) all the tents, etc., and made it what they had intended it to be. Did this resolve the problem? No, just moved everyone to another location. Someone wrote in to our newspaper that a large number of these homeless people maintain P.O. boxes by which they receive some sort of funding, you get the picture… we will somehow invent the cheapest way to live that we can. Human nature.

Hope to get up that way this summer, GAM… still have a brother and dome family in Edmonds, really interested in what is going on up your way, sort of like down here with a higher degree of innocence (nothing innocent about CA)…
Will definitely let you know for sure, looking forward to it.

Is this another troll? Is someone drumming up some kind of a snarkfest in order to get more people back on MB? Smells Fishy, you sure sound like someone else I have read on the forum in years past. Does anyone have any method of limiting people to ONE identity only or are we in for another HenryVIII. Lady Bigbottom, MagsyUrCorny, OffWithHerHead, yada, yada, yada…
    End of rant…

Buffalo was actually named after a body of water, Buffalo Creek, not sure who named the body of water or for what reason, do not believe the American Bison or any buffalo of any kind was ever a native to that thar area. wtf?
Actually, Honolulu is far more offensive to me, any kind of Lulu in fact…

Will keep loggin’ in from time to time just to leave an encouraging message, my email somehow got blocked off until I hit the first button, that little gray envelope, that is, and re- entered it on the MyBallard FB page, I believe, then was able to log in. Glad of that, gotta keep in touch…
Hope the GS are still involved, they seemed like such a sweet family, always nice to everyone, even the snarkiest of trolls. Traded thoughts with so many real good people over the years, will hope that continues, will definitely let anyone know if & when I come up again, everybody keep happy, beats hell out of any other thought…

this really dates me bigtime… place in the alley just east of 24th on Market, guys would catch kings, blackmouths & sivers in the early morning out of Ray’s, Gene’s, Carroll’s, maybe even over in W. Seattle, bring them to this little hole- in- the- wall fish market & sell them for whatever they could get, they would sell out every day, don’t think it was all that legal even then but talk about fresh fish! The BEST!

Breakfast, watch rainy- day Giant’s victory parade on tube with fireplace going, maybe go out & get a burger, and finally trick or treating with candy for kids AND Patron shots for adults, couldn’t possibly be better than that!

Shelley, will always remember your late husband, he was a breath of fresh air and always very up on what was going down, will regret not hooking up with him on his trip to the Bay Area a few years back, would have loved to gotten to know him in person.
We lose so many wonderful people in our lives, sometimes it is the price we pay for longevity.

So sorry, everybody, couldn’t contact anyone about my visit, so hit a few places in Ballard with my brother but had no way of contacting or knowing who was who, was at Ray’s, Water Wheel, Mike’s, Firehouse, even looked into Olaf’s and the Irish pub on 65th but nary a familiar face. Arrived on the 30th but had to cut short my trip due to tragedy at home, will talk later about it, don’t know when I will be up again.
Wish I would have some way of contacting someone, anyone…
