VB, only one in my family that is not a rabid Seahawk fan, been a 49er faithful since Hugh McElhenny went from the Washington Huskies to the SF 49ers, and… took a pay cut!
    Or so they say…
Anyhow, congratulations to the Hawks, wait ’till next season!

    Right out of Webster’s:
Thug: Origin > Hindi thag literally, rogue, cheat
Wouldn’t go that far in Sherman’s definition, no cheat and minor roguishness , what it is is a complete loss of class, he knows it, it is what it is, to quote Honey Boo Boo’s mama.

Years ago driving off a freeway ramp near Monterey with my young family a mother duck and her seven little guys took a bad time & path to walk between ponds… dynamited the brakes and daughter and son were shrieking and yelling at me not to hit them, which I managed by swerving sideways, son jumped out and ran madly back the way we had come to warn cars, daughter carefully herded them up curve, under fence and into pond… luckily no cars came around corner going 35-45 as was the normal speed, would have killed or seriously injured all thirteen of us (8 ducks, two adults, three kids, one only three…) every time I think about that incident it scares me silly…

Hey everybody… listen to the audio, hear the breaks? overdubbed… only a few people know what was actually said between the two of them & both don’t really want to delve into it any more, I am very much in that category, won’t mean diddly in a week or two… have same opinion of Sherman and Crabtree, both are talented jerks.

OK, ladybuk & snowflake, you have no idea what you are talking about! Richard Sherman was screaming “HEY! YOU MAD, BRO? YOU MAD BRO?” in his ear… does that sound like congratulations? Three different people who were a hell of a lot closer to what was happening related this, one a Seahawk! Don’t pull that congratulation crap with me! he is and always will be a very talented classless act to me, nothing more, nothing less. And while we are on the subject of no class, the fans that pelted Bowman with skittles as he was being carted off have a lot of that, they are a walking disgrace. I could say a lot more about these & several other instances but will just keep it to myself. Have a nice day.

Classless gesture of the season, Sherman’s choke, hope most fans overlook this and Lynch’s rant, well played & hard fought game, brutally hard fought, no need for any of that other bullshit stuff…

Jules, I think that is an east coast thing, hence all the traffic problems in NYC & Boston, folks back there just stop the car & do whatever they have to do without worrying about who is impeded by the act, maybe your snowflake has a “Joisey accent”…
(did you hear a “fahgeddaboudit” by any chance?)

Along these lines, talked to a relative yesterday and probably offended her when she stated that she was “gluten free” on the advice of a physician. I asked her if she was diagnosed with a coeliac condition and she gave me a puzzled look. Her friend chimed in that SHE was the “physician” she referred to, and which I stated “Wow, you have a medical degree at seventeen, amazing!”
    Suddenly found myself alone…

LIA! Always great to hear from you, even though you did flake out on our only chance on meeting back in Sept, oh well, there’s always next time…
(Shit, sounds like the Ballard version of Casablanca… we’ll always have Mukilteo…)

Glad to hear you’re OK, Cate, allergy attacks of any kind are no laughing matter. Friend of mine had serious problems that were traced to dust mites (??) microscopic spider- like buggers that exist all over but are very prevalent in moderate climate habitats, his were related to his animals somehow, and it wasn’t the mites that was his problem, it was their feces… sobering thought, isn’t it?

We really liked them when they were new but the quality has gone down, especially after most of my grandchildren are no longer working there… have a place called Habit out of Santa Barbara that we really like and of course there is always In- N- Out, miss the old Zesto burgers from the 50s. Dick’s may be the best of the low cost fast food burger outfits in the US, never found anything to compete or even come close to competing at that price range… Seattle, you don’t know how good you have it.
About the peanut allergy thing, Donarb, what is the actual percentage of folks that suffer from this? Only place I’ve seen it is on TV.

Can still hear the mill whistles blaring out at noon and 5pm if I think real hard about it… a high pitched tone for about three seconds followed by a low blaring tone lasting four to five seconds, heard them every day when I was a kid… heard train whistles too, GN & NP freights going over the bridge at the foot of the locks, never hear many of those sounds again. You can never go back, can you?

To quote a wise old guy…
To quote a wise old guy…

As I stated back in September:

“Hey! It is nearly upon us, yet not one peep do I hear about the upcoming showdown (first of three, I really believe, with the winner of #3 taking home the prize)
What say you MyBallard? Love to be up for this game but will miss it by a few days, unfortunately. Best two teams in the NFL, in my opinion.”

    prophecy fulfilled… end of rant…
