Several applications and approvals in today’s development update, including one notice of a design review board meeting for the site at the corner of NW 65th St and 15th Ave NW, across from Ballard High School and where El Camion currently leases.

The application to build a 74-unit, six-story apartment building 6416 15th Ave NW was submitted a year ago; owner Scott McGinnis says he’s been mostly kept in the dark about the proposal. He said they have no plans to leave their current location, but that if the project goes ahead, they’ll stay in Ballard. “We love it here. We love Ballard, and we feel like we are a good part of the community,” McGinnis said.

There will be a public meeting regarding the project on Monday, Oct. 2 at the Ballard Community Center; see below for more information.
