Fall Seattle Restaurant Week starts later this month

The bi-annual Seattle Restaurant Week is coming up soon, with a handful of local restaurants joining in.

This year, nine Ballard restaurants are part of the Seattle Restaurant Week, which runs from Oct. 24 to Nov. 6. The organizers have chosen to do away with the fee for participation, citing the hardships in the restaurant industry over the past year and a half. They’re also extending it to include food trucks and pop-ups, not just brick-and-mortar eateries.

Historically for Seattle Restaurant Week, restaurants would create a three-course prix-fixe format. However, this year they’re expanding options to include meal kits, cocktail add-ons, and small plates.

They’re also continuing the Give a Meal promotion, in which restaurants can offer diners the opportunity to provide a free meal to a community member in need by adding a $10 donation to the purchase of their meal. Restaurants can then either accept the funds for their in-house community meal programs or donate it toGood Food Kitchens, a King County food assistance program.
