This comics camp is for teens and adults 13 and up!

Welcome to Camp Comics! This class is a crash course in the fundamentals of comics for adults. Students will learn basic story structure, create characters, play improv story games, and try out different drawing styles and tools. At the end of the week each student will go home with a finished comic and a collection of their fellow campers’ work.

All materials are provided, including a sketchbook you can take home with you. Class is 2-5pm each day, Monday, June 23 through Friday, June 27. Students may bring their own snacks; we have a mini fridge and microwave available for student use.

Lucy Laybourn is an enthusiastic cartoonist and illustrator from Seattle, WA. She is passionate about comics as a tool for self expression, and is currently pursuing her BFA in Sequential Art from Savannah College of Art and Design.
