The Norwegian Ladies Chorus of Seattle will be resuming on Tuesday, September 14 at 7 pm with a social to welcome our new director, Joseph To.
Joseph To (pronounced “toe”) is a highly skilled and experienced choral director with a positive, “can-do” attitude. He is very interested in learning about Norwegian music and culture.
Joseph earned his bachelor’s degree in music education with a vocal emphasis from University of Washington, and his master’s degree in music (choral conducting) from Washington State University. He is currently employed as a choral director and the fine arts department chair for the Tukwila School District and director of music ministries for Prince of Peace Lutheran in SeaTac. His work in the Tukwila School District exposes him to singers from many different language and cultural backgrounds. Under Joseph’s direction, the chorus looks forward to thriving and growing into the future.
All vaccinated women with an interest in Norwegian music and culture are welcome to join the chorus. No musical training is required. Rehearsals are on Tuesday from 7 to 8:30 pm, except for the first Tuesday of the month, which will be a business meeting and social. Rehearsals are held in the Norna Room at the Leif Erikson Lodge.
