Saké Tasting at Champion Cellars!

January 22, 2018 @ 5:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Often referred to as Japanese rice wine, saké has more in common with beer, as the rice is converted to starch before it is fermented. It’s served hot, chilled, and at room temperature. There are different grades of saké, levels of filtration, aromas, and flavors depending on where in Japan the saké originates. Tonight, we’ll be exploring our first round of saké tasting that spans the gamut of taste, texture, and type. There’s a link to an article below on 15 things you should know about saké if any of you want to read up before the tasting!

Ps. If anybody wants to bring sushi to share we are not opposed.
