Saving the Orcas: Storytelling, Kids, and Science A kid friendly event at the Phinney Community Center

October 20, 2018 @ 2:30 pm - 4:00 pm

Free

Join Killer Whale Tales at the Phinney Community Center.

Killer Whale Tales (KWT) is a Seattle-based environmental education non-profit. Our program uses storytelling and field based science to inspire students to take an active role in the conservation of our Southern Resident Killer Whales and their habitat. As evidenced by the events of the summer, our Southern Resident Killer Whales are gravely threatened and we all need to take action now.

On October 20th, join us in the Phinney Community Center, Room 2 (in the blue building), where KWT Founder, Jeff Hogan, will deliver an abbreviated version of our interactive program. You will learn about the killer whales that live in our Puget Sound waters and the small changes that we can make to help protect them and the ecosystem they live in.

Come and join us! This event is free and fun for all ages. We will provide some light snacks and non-alcoholic refreshments
