09/04/2014 at 11:27 pm #72506Honest question. Has any team ever one back to back Superbowls?
09/04/2014 at 11:29 pm #72507Yes, in fact at least 5 quarterbacks have won back to back SBs
09/05/2014 at 10:49 am #72514If they both stay healthy, Seattle and Green Bay could very well see each other in the playoffs this year! Its pretty cool to see such a good matchup on opening day.
09/08/2014 at 11:30 am #72655Same song different year, saw two really good teams stink up the field and both win easily… looks like a repeat of last year, three games WILL be played between the two best teams in all of football, whoever wins the third game takes it all…
Didn’t I say the same thing almost exactly a year ago?09/08/2014 at 12:32 pm #72656Yes OldGuy, but I believe you thought the outcome would be different :-)
09/08/2014 at 12:59 pm #72657Pennygirl… I WISHED the outcome would have been different, but you know what they say about wishes being horses…
Looking forward to finally meeting you this trip, have my hopes up…WITHOUT wearing that damned Seahawks cap…
09/09/2014 at 2:51 pm #72729Cate – yes 6 teams have done so:
Green Bay (1966-7), Miami (1972-3), Pittsburgh (1974-5 & 78-9), San Francisco (1988-9), Dallas (1992-3) and New England (2003-4)
09/09/2014 at 2:55 pm #72730When are you making your way up here OldGuy?
09/09/2014 at 4:23 pm #72732SunetHillGuy – you forgot the ’97 and ’98 Broncos who beat Green Bay and Atlanta in back-to-back superbowls
09/09/2014 at 10:17 pm #72736Due to arrive on the 30th, leaving on the 7th, be around for a week or so, let’s do that get- together, MyBallard!
May have a drink or two here & there, may bring a designated driver…
Was hoping to see SunriseSunset this time, my brother may be driving me, he knows her, I believe…09/09/2014 at 10:24 pm #72739QBs with Back-to-Back Super Bowl Wins There are 7, but Bradshaw did it twice.
• Bart Starr first two superbowls 66-67
• Terry Bradshaw twice 74-75 and 78-79
• Bob Griese for the Dolphins 72-73
• Joe Montana 88-89
• Troy Aikman 92-93
• John Elway 97-98
• Tom Brady 03-0409/10/2014 at 10:43 am #72757Dave & OG – oops, i did forget the Broncos!
d’oh!!
09/15/2014 at 6:50 pm #73030OK MyBallard, I am OFICIALLY no longer a 49er fan, have been one since Hugh McElhenny took a pay cut to go from the Huskies to the Niners.
I have always been an avid and faithful fan, but this year they 1) Tore up my golf course & made a parking lot out of it, and 2) Allowed a wife beater to play season games on their team, well folks, that’s a little too much!
GO SEAHAWKS!09/16/2014 at 9:37 am #73044Don’t give up your faith, Oldguy! The NFL is all kinds of effed up, but that doesn’t mean you can’t paint your face, put on a foam finger, don a scarlet and gold miners pan on your head and scream at the top of your lungs after Kaepernick throws another interception to lose to the Seahawks in the playoffs.
