Unseen from a third floor deck I had the opportunity to watch a woman look around and dash up to mine and drop her dog’s poop. When I suggested she take it with her she sheepishly took it back and I have never seen her again on my block. Sometimes you live right. : )11/19/2014 at 2:44 pm in reply to: Beating a dead horse (Property Crime, North Precinct) #76131
Want more resources? Pay more taxes.
A truly wretched school. Totally run and controlled by the Blue Ridge yuppie moms.
Oh please edog. Seattlites are know to be homely. Also poorly dressed.
Seattle is fast becoming the least creative place in the country and heeltap sounds like a pick up in the men’s rom of a gay bar.
YES Creo for the win. That place has always been dangerous. They should advertise, “Tired of Living?”
“what happens when this passes?”
Well just go back a few years. In 1974 Ballard had an old lady dress shop, a few tired restaurants, an old lady furniture store etc. etc. etc.
The cycle never really changes.
Not unless they live 5 to an apartment Lou.
It always passes edog. Of course those who think they are hip never realize when they no longer are.
Both Baranof’s and The Lock Spot are primarily restaurants not bars.
Baranof’s is wonderful BTW but not really a bar.
old no real Ballardite feels very comfortable these days in Ballard. Seafood Fest was a snooze with bad food to boot. Oh well this too will pass.
Simple really. A LINE AT 6AM. Nothing like that exists in Seattle anymore. Too generic here now.
They will never die edog, just appear under a new name. Remember Fringies?
LOL Nora. Not really as the Baranof is a restaurant with a bar not just a bar. A great 60s style restaurant.
Ha I didn’t know that Jimmy. Funny that watching I noted that the filming made Seattle look dammed near post apocalyptic. In a city that is fast becoming so generic as is Seattle that would be hard to accomplish.
The tree is not what is normally considered invasive but it is a poor choice for a city tree. It’s messy and send up many suckers in wet climates.
The Killing is a great crime series filmed here. The best though will always be The Slender Tread.
“That sounds carries…” So does the sound made by idiot hipsters after 2am and certainly car noise carries. Ban ALL hipsters after 10pm.
Dang once again Ernie for the win. ” His singing was just ok, but his playing was quite good.”
LOLOLOL Ernie for the win. “Kings Hardware is no more a dive bar than a hipster in a trucker hat is a truck driver.
There are no dive bars in Seattle and certainly none in Ballard. All have been taken over by neo seattlites. Come on no dive bar worth anything would ever sell food other than a few beer nuts maybe.
A dive bar is the kind where you see a line waiting at 6am. The old Virginia Inn comes to mind.
Those shacks have hardwood floors and are better built than anything in Ballard built since the 70s. The townhouses on 56th are on their 3rd set of decks. I call that a shack.
Where are you eating? I can’t say I have ever seen a tater tot on a menu.
I will be in favor of the death penalty when all executions must be done publically and attendance is required by all citizens. Make sure you bring your kids. If it’s the right thing to do then it’s good for kids to see.
LOL @ ” high-end’ bakery.
Translation: overpriced, trendy, and smells like dog piss outside.
