Zayda Buddys was pulling some sketchy sh*t, so I’m NOT surprised Joel Radins’ businesses went down. Gotta take running a business seriously.

Starting @6:30 am, generally most of those routes will be 1/2 hour, even less if you’re really lucky. The clog hasn’t really started yet that early, but once it does, it can take at least 45 mins to get to Cap Hill.

But.. But.. But.. Pokerguy said all the property values in Ballard were going to plummet, and good riddance to Ballard..!

    Karma Residential..?

Hope that name comes true for them. That price is ridiculous. One could just rent a single room for 1k, then. Jeez.

So, if we’ve seen CenturyLink trucks installing big metal boxes, and lots of heavy cable on the poles over a period of many weeks on our block, does that mean we likely will have the Gigabit fiber option from Century Link? Totally curious!

Going to step in as a heavy here.

If your dog attacks me, A) I’ll kick the dog’s ass, B) kick your ass, and C) will start with pepper spray on both of you. I have every right to defend myself, and will do so.

I’ve walked past a unleashed Rottweiler that started to charge me, as the family just watched, and I said “Hey!” in just the right tone-he stopped, and I didn’t have to sue anybody or defend myself, as just a firm, strong version of “NO!” worked quite well.

Clearly, some dogs have rules, and some don’t. Your dog w/no rules attacks me, and I will make you both regret it.

    End of rant.

People commit crimes and exhibit criminal behaviour every single day under the influence of alcohol.

    Better ban it, ASAP.

Those candies were poisoned. Cannabis, pot, as noted, you cannot overdose on. No such thing as toxicity to cannabis. Aspirin is WAY more toxic, for example.

Also, marijuana is one of the most powerful anti-emetic drugs out there (anti-nausea); this is why they give it to puking cancer patients going through chemo. Seems strange the guy started puking uncontrollably-has anyone ever heard of that before with pot brownies or the equivalent? Were that the case, we’d be hearing a LOT about it by now in WA and CO, let alone the whole medical field. Usually people just sleep it off and feel fuzzy afterwards.

Here’s what the DEA published a while back, but not widely circulated. The entire 69 page report is full of medical data going back a few years, with some startling conclusions by the administrative law judge reviewing the evidence.

(one has to click on the links on the left to read the report)

Looks like bragging to me. Maybe that’s subjective. Or not.

That stalking of Silver was seriously creepy. Between bizarrely stalking a clearly nice, earnest person, and the multiple occasions bragging about being a hero who saved a dog (the above link was my lazy 3 second Google search of “stopgo hero”, and the very first link that came up-didn’t even bother to look at the other links that popped up), there was just always something a little disturbing about that character.

(Assuming that StopGo wasn’t just another incarnation of one very sad individual who had *lots* of identities on the old MyBallard.)

I think alcohol, cigarettes, and rampant prescription drug abuse is going to hurt a lot of minors.

And chocolate can be deadly for dogs. Who is looking out for the canines?

Ah yes, the USA is getting *ripped off* by internet providers, paying far more, for far less than much of the planet.

Moldova, Macedonia, Uruguay (!), Romania, and Turkey all have faster internet. We’re #31! We’re #31! (Sarcasm)

    http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/09/05/internet-speed-united-states-digital-divide_n_1855054.html

And, what we pay is abominable for what we get-as the following table illustrates:

    http://www.money.co.uk/broadband/broadband-and-phone-packages.htm

In Britain, that £12.80/month is just under $22. From the Post Office. The Post Office offers internet in the UK.

Yes, we are getting royally ripped off, bigtime.

Yet another place where smart public investment could really pay off, such as Tacoma:

“So many Americans, then and now, really have no idea that the rest of the world does not live the same as they do.”

True. Well over a billion people live on less than $1/day, fitting the definition of extreme poverty. Internet? iPhone? Some of these folks just want clean water to drink.

“most kids are kind of dumb and poor workers, so probably don’t deserve as much.”

That brush is way too broad. I’ve fired millenials that seemed to think they should get paid well to pick their nose, do personal emails, and Facebook all day. On the other hand, there’s currently a couple the exact same age who are worth their weight in gold and are exemplary employees. Just wonderful and great at what they do.

Not all young ‘uns are stupid and incompetent by any means.

I am tired of subsidizing extremely wealthy, profitable corporations through the Oil Depletion Allowance and 9 billion other tax loopholes that f*ck over human beings for the benefit of yet more corporate profits.

Bring on a living wage; people spend it, and the economy benefits.

Meddle and Fragile are almost ’60’s albums. The Moody Blues reference is from the ’60’s, so the ’80’s were just a faint glimmer in the distance when these all came out.

Roger Waters overdubbed more than one bass track for OOTD, giving that song a distinctive sound.

(Vaguely related: Chris Squire used a quarter to pick “Roundabout”)

Hopefully this will change some people’s perspective about “choosing” lifestyles. Sometimes awful things happen, and people go homeless due to circumstances beyond their control. In a society that let people fall through the cracks, like the USA.
