The bus lanes on 15th Ave. south of the Ballard Bridge, are still causing some confusion. Last month we wrote about the “right-turn only” signs along the stretch of road. The question back then was “Do these apply during peak hours or all the time?” SDOT responded by saying the right turn only rule applies during peak hours only. Well in the PI’s “Getting There” column the question comes up again. This time the spokesman, Richard Sheridan, says the restriction reserving the lane for buses and vehicles making the next right turn applies at all times. He also acknowledges that the signs aren’t clear — they refer to parking times — and the department is re-assessing the signage.
