36th District Reps to host town hall meeting for constituents

In early January, our 36th District representatives will be available for a town hall meeting before they head to Olympia for the next legislative session.

State Senator Reuven Carlyle and State Representatives Gael Tarleton and Noel Frame will host the town hall at the Seattle Opera Center (363 Mercer St) on Saturday, January 5 from 2 to 3pm.

From the event info:

Join 36th District lawmakers and share your ideas and thoughts before they head off to Olympia for the 2019 Legislative Session. Lawmakers will be considering legislation on a variety of issues, including climate change and the environment, Orca protection, the foster care system, fixing the state’s upside down tax code, and a new biennial budget.

The 36th District encompasses Ballard, Sunset Hill, Greenwood, Loyal Heights, Fremont, Magnolia, Briarcliff, Lawton Park and Queen Anne.

  1. Ah, good. I thought we had a homeless junkie and housing crisis in Seattle but looks like they’ll be fixing “climate change”, saving the precious Orcas, and fixing the tax code instead – I wonder if they consider the burden of all these whopping taxes on the working people?

Nope, let’s save the LGBTQ whales instead!

    1. Oh hey look, Uncle Buck is in the comments trying to stir up trouble again throwing insults around. Try going back to T_D, it suits you better.

        1. Please, do tell how Reuven Carlyle, Gael Tarleton and Noel Frame have anything to do with the trolling statements that U_B trashed all over here.

      1. Um, we’re all “on our computers” in this era, pretty much constantly.

So that doesn’t make any sense, there Surly AF. And to the extent that Seattle politicians only care about sexual identity politics and “the environment” (code for taxing working people for commuting) then yes they are big bunch of showboating virtue signalers playing to their audience of trained clapping seals such as yourself who denigrate anyone who happens to notice that this city is run by a bunch of people who, for the most part, MUST work in the public sector because businesses don’t operate on feelings and vague theories. Profit, loss, supply, demand, actions, consequences. These seem to be foreign concepts to liberals who think that taxing soda pop was a great idea and allowing heroin use is acceptable.

This is our city now. Let that sink in, and save the snark.

        1. love how all the environmentalists get twitchy and oddly quiet about the issue of RV’s dumping raw sewage all over the city. or the vagrants crapping all around ballard even though the city jammed the “urban rest stop” that just about nobody in the neighborhood wanted into the commons area.

          1. What does this have to do with Reuven Carlyle, Gael Tarleton and Noel Frame?

        2. My point is simple, go to the Town Hall and voice your thoughts, opinions and grievances to these people. Maybe they will discuss their stance on “LGBTQ whales”, and any other issues you feel are important. No snark.

        3. These are state level politicians, not city. Please describe how any of them “only care” about the issues mentioned. How is anything you say relevant to this thread?

    1. ***paging Mike O’Brine!!!***
Mike, Mike, Mike – we have a situation here!
A happy ballardite. Please stop by and bring this happy soul back to reality with another one of your hard-hitting doses of Seattletruthiness.
You know; a bit of that old time, hippie dippy, lib-loving wisdom that you do so well.
After all, it is the holiday… ooops, the winter solstice season.
