A group of volunteers is spending their Friday remodeling a play yard for kids at Kids Co., a nonprofit child care facility at Adams Elementary.

Today is the United Way’s “Day of Caring,” and this group has a huge project ahead of them. They’re leveling the yard and installing turf for kids to have a comfortable place to play. They’re also painting the exterior of the building. Kids Co. has seven locations in Seattle, and Adams is its pilot location.
