Bumbling burglar stumped at Zesto’s

Last night, a burglar broke into Zesto’s on 65th and got away with… nothing. Well, he did get on KING 5 News (watch video). The man took 30 minutes to break through a window, standing in front of a security camera the entire time. When he finally squeezed inside, he tried unsuccessfully to remove the cash register, which finally popped open to reveal… nothing.

Zesto’s is offering a $250 reward for information leading to the man’s arrest. (Thanks Boxcar for the tip!)

Update: MyBallard reader Toudios says he spotted the suspect on Wednesday night, called police and they arrested him a short time later on Market St. We have not yet confirmed this with police.

Looks like one of the local homeless dudes that everyone loves to hate. What's up with the 10's to 100's of Ballard folk who drove by in the 30 min it took the guy to break in who didn't call the cops and say "there's a couple stinky bum legs sticking out of the window at Zestos, check it out!"

That's one of the busiest intersections around.

Yeah, it's hard to tell what that dude is from the pic. I thought he looked white. Did he at least try to steal some of the crappy pinball machines they have in there?
