  1. I learned the hard way 10 years ago. Put my outgoing bills in the slot and they were stolen. The thief then tried to use my info to take money out of my bank acct. ($2000!). Thank goodness Key Bank was on top of it. Needless to say I had to change all my accts, omit my Drivers License from my checks, and I never put outgoing mail in any mailbox, unless it's the big blue USPS ones.

  2. I had a letter stolen recently as well. No money inside, thank goodness. The only reason I even noticed the theft was because the Grinch also stole the Christmas wreath on my front door.

I too have learned my leason… out going mail is brought to work and sent out from the mailroom.
