Picolinos adds ‘Pico Deli’ featuring freshly-baked bread

Posted by Geeky Swedes on July 15th, 2011

Ristorante Picolinos (6415 32nd. Ave. NW) is adding a delicatessen and bakery to their half-block-long building. Owner Tom Bailiff tells us that “Pico Deli” will offer bread, baked fresh daily on premise in their custom-made Italian baking oven. Manny Barquia, who has been a Master Baker for more than three decades, will oversee the bread making. The deli will also offer artisan cured meats, cheese, fresh made pasta, sauces, grilled panini, Italian & regional wines, olive oil, and all manner of deli specialty items. Bailiff says the deli will open next month. (Disclosure: Picolinos is a sponsor of MyBallard.)
