The Rat City Rollergirls are hosting the “Say RAAAWR to Hunger” fundraiser Saturday for the Ballard Food Bank.

Jennifer Warnick, who skates as “Shovey Chase” for the Rat City Rollergirls has put together a freelance team called Sharkasaurus from Rat City and other neighboring teams. They’ve invited another freelance team sponsored by Starbucks and is made up of the coffee company employees called Trouble Brewing to the Friday Saturday night charity bout.
“We did a pre-sale of half the tickets, and they sold out immediately,” Sara Girard with the Rat City Rollergirls tells us. “There will be some available at the door.” Save $1 off the $15 entrance fee for each non-perishable food item you bring for the food bank. All the cash collected will also go to the food bank.
The event is Friday Saturday evening at 8 p.m. at the Rat City Rollergirls Ballard practice facility – 5303 Shilshole Ave NW.
