It’s official. Viking Bank is under new ownership.

“The Spokane-based parent company of AmericanWest Bank said Thursday it had completed its acquisition of Seattle-based Viking Financial Services Corp., the holding company for Viking Bank,” our news partners, The Seattle Times is reporting.

The acquisition was first announced in September and approved by shareholders last month.

Viking Bank will change its name to AmericanWest Bank.
