This week, Ballard burger joint The Counter shut its doors for good. The Counter, near the Ballard Bridge at 4609 14th Ave NW, opened  in 2009.

With failed attempts at reaching the restaurant owners, the reason for its closing is still unknown. We’ll update with any new information.
