Tomorrow is the beginning of the 23rd Annual Free Summer Concerts and Events series at the Ballard Locks. Every Saturday and Sunday between June 2 and September 9, concerts and events will spice up the cozy park right next to the Locks’s Carl S. English Botanical Gardens.
This weekend will include the Boeing Employees Concert Band on Saturday at 2 p.m., playing “lively marches to show tunes and classics” and on Sunday at 2 p.m., the Cascadia Jazz Band will perform. The events are free, but have limited seating, so bring blankets and chairs and arrive early.
