Posted by Danielle Anthony-Goodwin on February 13th, 2013

Ballard District Council will hold their monthly meeting tonight at 7 p.m. at Ballard Library (5614 22nd NW). The meeting is open to the public and will be chaired by Catherine Weatbrook.

Important local topics will be discussed during the meeting including the progress of the Ballard to Downtown Transit Expansion Study, the results and evaluation of the Ballard District Transit Survey and an explanation of how Ballard residents can get involved in the Solarize NW program.

Councilmember Tim Burgess will also attend to answer local questions. CM Burgess chairs the Council committee on Government Performance and Finance as well as the Labor Relations Policy Committee and Special Committee on Budget.

Tim Wear, SPD’s new North Precinct Community Police Team officer for Ballard, will also be introduced. He replaces Scott McGlashan who has accepted a position in SPD’s Harbor Patrol Unit.

All are welcome to attend the meeting and free parking is available below the library building (accessed from NW 56th). We will update readers with a full report on the meeting tomorrow morning.
