Car fire in front of Ballard High School last night

UPDATE: Kyle Moore from the Seattle Fire Department tells us that Engine 18 responded to the report at 1:04 a.m. this morning. “When the Engine Company arrived they found a station wagon that caught fire while parked on the shoulder of the street. Firefighters knocked down the flames with minimal damage to the engine compartment,” Moore writes. The cause of the fire was apparently a short in the wiring of the car.

Original post: My Ballard reader Max spotted this car on fire in front of Ballard High School late last night. “Happened to drive past this vehicle which I spotted on fire, quickly ran to make sure no one was inside then called 911,” Max writes.
