One of our readers sent us this photo of a family of falcons in Salmon Bay. Anthony Torrero Collins tells us his daughter saw two adults and three chicks. “I watched some of the early flight lessons, where they fluttered clumsily from branch to branch, but they’ve since become more competent,” Collins writes.
“I wonder if this is a permanent home for them, or if they’ll go farther afield when the chicks are fully grown. Just have to wait and see. In the meantime, keep your parakeets indoors.”
