Mural on Shilshole Ave comes back to life with a fresh coat of paint

The mural near the corner of 17th Ave NW and Shilshole Ave has just been given a facelift from the original artist, David Benzler. Hemispheres, the business who commissioned the mural, asked Benzler to give it a fresh coat of paint, 10 years after it was originally created. Lynn Reed from Hemispheres says brides, models, and passers-by  frequently stop to take pictures in front of it.

Here’s a short video of the repainting process, captured by Andrew Gorohoff.

The mural reads, “Maintenant Je Vois” which is French for “Now I See.”

Thanks, Lynn, for the tip!
