This Saturday, Oct. 19 there will be an open house for the Real Food Buying Club, a community food-buying club that has started in Ballard. The club, started by Kelly Schneyer, allows members to get food and other products at a discounted rate by buying supplies in bulk. The open house is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, and will be an opportunity for people to learn how the club works and meet some producers of the goods offered through the club.

Loki Fisheries, Seattle Tilth and other producers will be sampling their products and talking about their work, Schneyer tells us. The open house will be at the club’s headquarters at 4818 14th Ave NW on Saturday. To RSVP on their Facebook page, click here.
