Development Update December 23: More subdivisions and design review meetings

Applications for developments in Ballard have been coming in thick and fast during the holiday season to the Department of Planning and Development (DPD).

1741 NW 60th St

A Land Use Application has been submitted to subdivide the site into two unit lots. The construction of residential units are under Project #6358559. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots.

2052 NW 64th St

A Land Use Application has been received to allow the demolition of a 4,800 sq. ft. religious facility (Grace Gospel Chapel).

822 NW 49th St

An appealable decision has been made to subdivide the site into four unit lots. The construction of residential units has been approved under Project #6321646. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. Appeals of the decision must be received by the Hearing Examiner no later than January 6, 2014.

3410 A NW Market St

An appealable decision has been made to subdivide the site into two unit lots. The construction of residential units has been approved under Project #6306324. This subdivision of property is only for the purpose of allowing sale or lease of the unit lots. Development standards will be applied to the original parcel and not to each of the new unit lots. A design review meeting will be held for a four-story mixed use development containing 82-86 residential units above 3,000 sq. ft. of commercial space and 7-8 live/work units.  Parking for 49-58 vehicles to be provided.

The meeting is scheduled for 8 p.m. on Monday, January 13 at Ballard Community Center (6020 28th Ave NW).
