Actors needed for Majestic Bay Theatre trailer

Majestic Bay Theatres has partnered with the digital filmmaking program at Ballard High School to make a new policy trailer and they are looking for local talent.

The trailer, set in the 1970s, is set to replace the current “A Trip to the Movies” trailer that no longer functions since the Bay switched to a digital format. The BHS team has decided to produce a re-make of the old policy trailer and title it “A Trip to the Groovies”. The new trailer will feature Russ and Ellen going to see another movie together in the 70s.

The team is in the process of pre-production, and while the producer is scheduling and the design team is finding costumes, Casting Director Jaya Flanary is looking for actors in Seattle.

In addition to finding actors to play the main roles, Flanary is looking for fans of the Majestic Bay Theatre to be extras in this brand new trailer that will play before every movie at the Bay.

Filming will take place in October on Saturday mornings at the Bay, specific dates that extras will be needed are yet to be determined. Extras also need to be 18 years of age or older.

If you are interested in being an extra for this short film, please email Jaya Flanary at jayaflanary@icloud.com with your contact information and photo.

Space is limited for the shoot but all submissions will be considered. Information such as costumes, dates, and appearance will be provided once responses are received from those who are interested.
