Big Give fundrasier enters final stretch at Adams Elementary

The annual Big Give fundraiser is in full swing at Adams Elementary raising money to support both teachers and the school community.

The campaign ends on October 9 and organizers are encouraging both Adams’ families and the local community to participate in the final stretch. Funds raised from the annual campaign will go towards academic support, tutors, camps, field trips, literacy support, and arts at the school.

With the funds raised from Big Give, the Adams PTA makes big, visible improvements at the school including organizing Ballard mural artist Henry to create artwork in the courtyard.

The Adams PTA also uses the funds to assist students and teachers in smaller, more personal ways. “I use my classroom funds to get extra supplies for kids in need. Three students were just beaming when I handed them their own box of 64 crayons,” says 3rd grade teacher Ms. Daimler.

Organizers encourage locals to assist them in reaching their goal of $60,000 by making a donation of any amount. Donations can be made online.
