Development Update March 31: a communication utility, a subdivision and a four story building

An application, a decision and a streamlined design review notice make up today’s development update, provided by the City of Seattle’s Department of Constructions and Inspections Land Use Information Bulletin.

An application has been submitted to locate a minor communication utility (Verizon) on a new Seattle City Light utility pole #1374905 within the right-of-way. The project includes attaching two panel antennas to the new pole. Final decision on placement of antennas will be made by Seattle City Light.

The Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections (Seattle DCI) has received an application for a siting review of the Class II attachment described above.  Following review, Seattle DCI will make a recommendation to Seattle City Light (SCL) to grant or deny the request.  SCL will make the final determination on the proposal.

The comment period ends April 13, 2016 but may be extended to April 27, 2016 by written request.  All comment letters will be posted to the Seattle DCI web site.  To submit written comments or to obtain additional information, contact the Seattle Department of Construction and Inspections. Contact by phone (206) 684-8467 or email PRC@seattle.gov.  Be sure to refer to Master Use Project #3023873.

Decision:

A Land Use Application has been approved to subdivide one parcel into two parcels of land. Proposed parcel sizes are: Y) 51,351 sq. ft. and Z) 28,951 sq. ft. Existing structure to be demolished.

Appeals of these decisions must be received by the Hearing Examiner no later than 4/14/2016.

A Streamlined Design Review is being conducted for an application to build a 4-story building containing 6 apartment units and 18 small efficiency dwelling units (for a total of 24 residential units). Existing building to be demolished.

The Director will accept written comments to assist in the preparation of the early design guidance through April 13, 2016. You are invited to offer comments regarding important site planning and design issues, which you believe, should be addressed in the design for this project. Please note that this is the only opportunity to comment on this proposal.
