Local non-profit, Sound Generations, is on the lookout for volunteers to assist local seniors through their Volunteer Transport Program.
Sound Generations is a non-profit organization working to help seniors remain safely independent and connected to their communities.
A growing number of local seniors are in need of help getting to their medical appointments and they currently do not enough volunteers to keep up.
“It is heartbreaking to know that many seniors are not getting the medical care they need simply because they don’t have a ride. A little of time can make a big difference in a senior’s life,” says Volunteer Recruitment Coordinator Kailan Tyler-Babkirk
The volunteer opportunity is extremely flexible, allowing volunteers to pick the days, times, frequency, and areas they wish to drive.
