Update: We’ve just heard news that the motorcyclist in the August 14 incident near Shilshole Marina has passed away from his injuries. Scott Allen, remembered by his neighbor Rebecca Haywood, was known as the “friendly painter who lives on 62nd.”
“Scott was a friend and was our best neighbor in Ballard!” Haywood tells My Ballard. “Scott would sit out on the lawn after work, give a smile, strike up a conversation and watched out for our block.”
An impromptu memorial has been set out on his front yard, with a bouquet of flowers, a bottle of beer and notes from his friends.
