Zesto’s tops dirty restaurant list

Say it isn’t so! The restaurant with the most health and safety violations in Seattle is… Zesto’s, probably our favorite Ballard burger joint. The Seattle PI looked over the records and found 15 “red critical” violations in 2007 including “poor worker hygiene, failure to properly sanitize the food-preparation area and cold food stored at more than 45 degree.” Also in the top ten is Salmon Bay Cafe on Shilshole, with 12 violations.
