Theo Chocolate in Fremont is looking for a “high-energy person to work as a tour guide and retail staff member,” according to a sign taped in their window. The pay isn’t great, $10 an hour, but this part caught my eye: “an interest in sound environmental and socially responsible practices is desirable.” A staffer on Sunday said the job is still open.
Even if you don’t want to work there, it’s worth stopping in to sample their designer confections made with fair-trade organic cocoa beans roasted at the former Red Hook Brewery location. Besides, Valentine’s Day is this Thursday and their “Aphrodisiac Confection Collection” is selling fast.
