Not only is there a lunar eclipse happening Wednesday night, the Department of Defense could shoot down that errant satellite near Hawaii around the same time, opening up the possibility we could see debris from that entering the atmosphere like a swarm of meteors. A partial lunar eclipse starts at about 5:40 p.m. and the full eclipse will happen from about 7 to 8 p.m. You should be able to get a great view from Golden Gardens Park. The Seattle Astronomical Society is also holding an event at Green Lake. The satellite could be shot down around 6:30-9 p.m.
Remember to bring your satellite debris shield!
