New restaurant ‘Monkey Bridge’ opens

The new Vietnamese restaurant Monkey Bridge has just opened its doors, and the Ballard Gossip Girl has the scoop. “The decor and the staff were both welcoming and the couple of dishes we tried were very flavorful,” she writes. “Their dinner special entrees featured salmon and sea bass and looked like they’d be worth a splurge (in the $15 range) on a night when I’m hungrier. Most of the other menu options cost between four and eight dollars.” Sounds promising, although Gossip Girl says it will still be a couple days before they get their liquor license.

Monkey Bridge is at the corner of Market and Barnes Ave. If you give it a try, please give us your impressions in comments below.

Adds Ivy: “I had the Banh Mi Sandwich which was wonderful, the people were very friendly and the prices are really resonable. Also I like the decor. A nice addition to the neighborhood!”
