We heard from Ballard Gossip Girl and the new Ballardite Blog that changes are afoot at Market Street Grill. So we called and learned that new owners have taken over, but the restaurant is not closing — just shutting down “for a couple days in May” as they transition to a new menu, but with the same chef. As for what the menu will be, Ballardite Blog is hearing it’ll be Italian, but no final word from Market Street Grill. In other restaurant news, Ballard Gossip Girl hears that “plans are under way to open a high end sushi joint” somewhere on Ballard Ave. Ooooh. We love Sam’s Sushi, but you have to admit you can never have too much sushi in the neighborhood.
