The annual award by the state’s Technology Alliance for the best startup goes to… a Ballard coffee company. That’s right, the maker of the Clover, The Coffee Equipment Co., has won the award. “In accepting the award this afternoon, Chief Executive Zander Nosler joked that they have been telling people all along that they are a technology company. No one ever believed them, he said,” writes tech blogger John Cook. As you may remember, Coffee Equipment Co. sold to Starbucks earlier this year.
