We’ve heard rumors of activity at the old Zagi’s pizza joint, so we stopped by there today. According to the sign on the door, “Gabriel’s Fire” will be serving a “selection of smoked and grilled meats with sauces from around the country and world.” My Ballard reader Tom spoke with one of the owners who described their food as Southern Style Barbecue. He writes, “At least one of the owners is a Ballard resident, so that’s nice to see.” The restaurant is scheduled to open in July and will have dine-in, carry-out and delivery.
