Here’s an event to mark on your calendar. Best-selling Seattle author Sherman Alexie, whose book The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian (Amazon) has won widespread acclaim, will be at the Ballard Library on Thursday, Sept. 4th. He’ll be reading from the book and answering questions from 6:30 p.m. to 7:45 p.m. By the way, Alexie just won the 2008 Stranger Genius Award in literature. Says Stranger book editor Paul Constant, “(it’s) most obvious Genius Award in the history of the Genius Awards.”
