Police officer injured in overnight crash

A Seattle police officer responding to a 911 call crashed into a utility pole at 65th and 15th early this morning. Medics had to use the “jaws of life” to pry him out the the car. “It was horrible. My first thought was it was a car on car accident then I came out here and saw him up on the curb,” Ballard resident Loann Rice told KING 5. The officer is expected to survive.
