“Someone stole about 100 Bosc Pears from my tree,” writes “Grassman”, who lives near 73 St. and 22 Ave. “The tree is in our fenced side yard, and the thieves struck mid-morning. My neighbor actually talked to the thieves. She asked them if they had permission to pick all the pears. They said, ‘Sure we do! We give the pears to the food bank!'” Not true, of course, and very devious.
