Changes coming to the Green Market building

A land use sign is posted at the corner of 64th St. & 32nd Ave., just outside the Sunset Hill Green Market building. But don’t worry, Chuck Genuardi, the owner of the Green Market told us emphatically, “WE ARE NOT GOING ANYWHERE!”

My Ballard reader Elizabeth tells us that the new owner of the building, Bill Parks, has a lot of ideas floating around for the building and the adjacent lot. “(He’s) very civic minded and likes to include the neighbors in the conversation to get a feel for what they might like to see,” she says. “He invites them to come to all the planning meetings and tries to keep as many people happy as he can.” According to Genuardi, Parks will be presenting his initial plans to the City’s Design Review Board on October 27th at 6:30 p.m. at Ballard High School.
