Bicyclists ride in Black’s memory

At least 200 bicyclists gathered at the scene of last week’s deadly accident to ride to Golden Gardens in memory of Kevin Black.

A pace car receives instructions. Vehicles drove in front and in back of the group to help keep the cyclists together and improve safety.

Route information and safety instructions are announced. They rode down 24th Ave. to Market St., then to Seaview and Golden Gardens Park.

Young and old alike geared up to make the ride.

And they’re off!

The cyclists rode down the right-hand lane and bike lane. At Golden Gardens, they joined other friends and family to remember Kevin. We shot a little video of the ride, which is embedded below…
