Only in a Liberal state would the people fight for the right of assisted suicide while at the same time spending money to stop people from committing suicide.
What bothers me is they're calling the Aurora Bridge a landmark. And it's not going to damage the bridge, only the view of the drivers. What's the harm?
I hardly think they are comparable situations. Why do “the Conservatives” want to save unborn fetuses only to kill them later as soldiers? You might say those are unrelated issues, other than the Death part. Exactly.
Soldiers volunteer, aborted babies don't.
Just to be clear, it doesn't appear that the QA Council opposes the “design” of the anti-suicide fence, as the headline states. Rather, they oppose the existence of the fence.
Let's be honest here … The fence is to stop people from splatting in Adobe's parking lot, or anywhere else in Fremont. The folks in QA don't care because all they have is a view of the bridge and don't have to clean up the mess.
It is a landmark and is included in the national register of historic places. There is good reason to make sure any additions or changes don't affect the aesthetics of the bridge.
Are there any community P-patches in Ballard?
