Bank robbery suspect faces ‘third strike’

If convicted, the man accused of robbing the Chase bank on 22nd Ave will face life in prison, the Seattle PI reports.

36 year-old Gerald Bernard Tracy was shot by police last week after police say he robbed a bank in Shoreline. According to the P.I., Tracy was charged on Tuesday with four counts of robbery and second-degree assault after officers say he intentionally hit a manned patrol car. Under the three strikes law, he will face life in prison if convicted of any one of the current charges he faces. The P.I says that “Tracy’s criminal history includes convictions for robbery, attempted robbery, motor vehicle theft, burglary, assault, DUI and harassment. He was wanted on a Department of Corrections escape warrant when confronted by police in Greenwood last week.”

  1. Life in prison on my tab. It's too bad he didn't sail through the windshield and splatter his idiot brains all over the asphalt.

  2. Chopper_74 is annoying.

Must you comment useless crap on every post?

Save me the time and comment when you have something useful to say, please.

  3. So wanting a career criminal off the street is a bad thing? Maybe you could house and take responsibility for him so the decent citizens don't have to be burdened with it.

  4. hey, annoying can be very useful…denial can't.
Although, that particular comment wasn't designed to be annoying, so, what would your point be?
Take a note from your buddy, relax.
btw, your only comment is about chopper_74?
    That's useless crap, imho.

  5. I also agree that chopper_74 is annoying. Does he/she not have a job and just sit in front of the computer and post comments to this site all day long. Seems like kind of a lame life…….

  6. don't read it then. simple as that. annoying is the fact that this idiot has had two prior chances, could have killed an innocent family and you find chopper's comments annoying. funny!

  7. Must not be a very happy person, had a unhappy childhood, or something else. Constantly whining about everything while at the same time trying to portray himself as being on a higher moral level. Definitely trying to compensate for something lacking in his life.

  8. wow, feel the love.
So, none of you have anything to say about the story?
How about the benefit of the three strikes law?
How about the character of the idiot in this story?
Nope, just choppin up chopper_74, very productive.
Just so you know, I love you all, can't help it, it's some kind of sickness I'd guess.

  9. It doesn't seem to take a lot to annoy some people. You don't know chopper_74 and yet you have guess that he must not have a job, must
not be very happy, must have had an unhappy childhood, is an ignorant hate monger who is self centered etc. I find it amusing. Anyway back to the original story about the bank robber…I am glad he was arrested before he could hurt more people. Thank goodness no one was shot when he robbed those banks.

  10. If it was just spam, or hitting every story with “first!” then I'd be with you. But Chopper isn't that bad. Prolific? yes, Opinionated? check, but not that bad. It seems that a lot of people are just scapegoating Chopper as cover for all prolific commenters (myself included).
This is a neighborhood blog and neighbors are encouraged to comment and have a healthy discussion in the comments. I don't think that we should be silencing our neighbors for wanting to be part of the discussion.
And as far as not having a job/life some of us have jobs/lives that allow for some blog time…I have data processes that often have to run for 5-10 minutes, not enough time to leave and get a coffee, but enough time to drop in and see what's going on in the 'hood. Not all of us are fishermen around here ya know.

  11. So TimeSync, you've been lurking on this forum long enough to know everything about chopper and this is all you have to say when you finally post?

    Lame.

  12. I'm like the ACLU, I'll defend everyone's right to speak their mind in an honest and open debate of ideas, even if I don't necessarily agree with those ideas.
