Spray park open late to beat the heat

With little relief from the heat after the sun went down last night, Jamie packed up the kids and headed to Ballard Commons to play in the water.

This photo was taken at 9:30 p.m. “We really appreciated the fountain being open late last night!” she emailed us. We spoke with Jose at the Parks Department. He tells us that the water park is generally open until 8 p.m. but “I would expect that they’ll extend that until 9 p.m.”
