Tuesdays in Ballard ends with a treasure hunt

With just two more weeks of the “Tuesdays in Ballard” campaign, the In Ballard Merchants Association is ending the summer on a high note.

Starting today, many of the more than 70 participating businesses are holding a shopper’s treasure hunt. Just look for these yellow tags hidden inside products or stuffed in menus and redeem them for discounts or prizes. Next Tuesday, September 8th is the final day for Tuesdays in Ballard.

  1. Is In Ballard Merchants Association a competitor to the Ballard Chamber of Commerce? If so, I love them.

Ballard Chamber of Commerce = Let's sue the City of Seattle to stop the bike trail SDOT approved. We can demand more environmental studies even as one of our members and partner in the suit ignores multiple environmental violations and gets fined by the Department of Ecology for allegedly polluting the ship canal!

In Ballard Merchants Association = Let's run a smart, super cool ad campaign to get people from all over Seattle visiting Ballard on one of the slowest nights of the week!!

    I love this campaign!!!

  2. Once again, doug11 hijacks another thread for his own agenda. Hey! How much money do YOU spend here doug?? Do you live in Ballard?

    No, I thought not.

  3. Last two weeks for Tuesdays in Ballard! Get out there and have fun supporting local business, whatever side of the trail debate you're on. :-)

  4. Ballard Merchants Assoc. is an independent group of merchants. Not affiliated with or trying to “compete” with The Chamber of Commerce. As a group we pool our funds to creat ad campaigns and sponsor events in and around the downtown Ballard shopping area.

  5. You thought wrong. I live here. I work here. I spend most of my money here.

How is this hijacking the thread? My comment was about how much I love this campaign and the business association behind it.

  6. On the maps for Tuesdays in ballard the Ballard Chamber of Commerce is listed as a service and their logo is on the back as a business sponsor.
Looks to me like they're already playing well with others.
