Project Ganas, a Ballard-based non-profit, is working to help kids in neglected regions of Central and South America by providing them with educational opportunities.
This Friday is their first-ever Project Ganas Benefit which will benefit Colonia Libertad, a rural subsistence-farming town in Costa Rica. Project Director Sara Sanford tells us, “Their schools are in need of walls, supplies, and advocacy efforts.” The 21+ benefit starts at 9 p.m. at Guadalajara in Wallingford (1715 N 45th). The $10 cover will provide one student with enough supplies for an entire academic year. There will be drink specials and happy hour appetizers all night. Entertainment will include a live performance by Bamba Brazil, Fremont Drum all-stars and DJ Phil Anthony + DJ Alspin.

Wish I could make it, sounds like good fun and a good cause.
'in need of walls.'
Yeah, a very good cause I'd say. And happy hour specials. Hmmmm
Incredible entertainment for the price, and what a great cause!
