The weekend events calendar

It looks like the crazy weather might be done for now.

  • The Sunset Hill Street Clean-up will be at 10 a.m. Saturday. Meet at the clubhouse (3003 NW 66th St) to get supplies and head out to tidy up a couple of our streets
  • Saturday is the 4th Annual Green Seattle Day. You can help with forest restoration from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Here’s a map of parks.
  • Ballard Community Center 4-H Club will host a Holiday Craft Fair on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday at 6020 28th Ave NW
  • 16th Annual Santa Hop & Auction to benefit the Forgotten Children’s Fund at the Ballard Elks. Doors open at 4:15 with a cocktail hour, dinner and auction (hey, you could be in a Vern Fonk commercial!). For more information email Ken Boisse at tongueincheekprod@yahoo.com.
  • The Seattle Animal Shelter hosts a cat adoptathon on Saturday from noon to 3 p.m. at Loyal Heights Community Center (2101 N.W. 77th St.) There will be numerous cats of different breeds.
  • From 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Saturday, Laura Bee Designs (6418 20th Ave NW) will be holding their 7th anniversary party. Shop the Glam for Good handbags and help raise money for local charities.

    1. Everything was very nice but there were very few booths actually selling holiday items which is what we came for. Maybe they could have just called it a regular craft fair and not a holiday one.
